in-depth photo illistration
STAGED PHOTOThis is picture is showing some one being murdered.
its staged because there is not allters to the photo itself because the people are the ones who are being altered.its set up.
COMPOSITE IMAGEThis image is a compoiste image because there are alot of things that had to be put in it to make it look this way.photoshop was most likley used.
REALISTIC ALTERATION
This photo is altered because he is in a glass filled with smoke. and he is pushing on it as if though he cant get out.
its realistic because he probably smokes or something and it is affecting his athletic career.he probably cant do as many things as before.but now he cant quit because he has gone in too far and he is trapped.

This photo had been turned to art because it started out as a normal photo then was alteresd to make it look the way it does. it has alot of feeling to it.They probably used photoshop to make it look like a painting.

illistration preview!!!
The main message of the photo is the image of paper dolls was burned around the edges to convey the sense of loss and emptiness felt by everyonr in the story.
The photos were used in the paper by sympolizing little children who have been hurt. and to show how innocent they are.
I think they used photoshop mto make it seem like the photos had been burned...to give it that empitness feeling,that they convey.

What I have learned about action photography?
Zone Focus-focus the camera in an area where you know action will eventuallt happen. the action comes to you
Shutter Speed-The speed of the shutter of the camera that takes the picture.
Panning-When you follow the subject that you wanna take a picture of when they are moving.
Waiting for the Pause-when you wait for the subject to stop moving for a limited amount of time.

Listen to what the judges have to say
Name:Alyssa Schukar
Generaliztion:She shot stories
Problems: it was gloomy and not optimistic....she really didnt get up close she stayed at a certain distance always.
Likes: they liked how they told stories and the picture where the girl fell on the track and all you see is the person she is racing,from the waist down.
Impression: i think the judges think that some of her pictures were okay but over all they didn really like fthem. they were not winning pictures. I like how she tried to tell a stor but think she should have hasd a theme and stuck to one specific topic insted of a widespread of things.
Name: Nick adams
Generalization:took picutres of mant different things that really didnt have anything to do with one another.I thought the judges were not a big fan either.
Problems: the focus, they didnt really like how he shot a photo of a kid in one frame.but there were also other kids in the picture.needs new topic
Likes:they like the cheerleading photo but if only he could have gotten the whole entire jamfest sign in the picture.
Impression:His pictures to me were kind of boring some of them were good but they were not as good as others.
Name: Jordan Murph
Generaliztion: they like his first few photos alot because they were good and srtong photos,
problems: what they didnt like was the random picture of the ocean wave.that had no surfer.
Likes:they liked the first three photos of the porfolio.
Impresson: i think he is a good photographer and knows what he is doing most of the time but then get lost sometimes. but iver good pics.
Name: anthiny Souffle
Generlaizatios:He tells stories,with his photos.
Problems:they didnt like how he took pictures of kids.
Likes:they like the greif of the galf player. and the women crying he had very good candin moments.
Impression:I like his pictures but not as well as jodan murph. because it lacks originalitly.
DUSTIN SPINES: Tehy critiqued him on his creativitly and his originality of his photos.
I didnt see any weaknesses,but i guess some of the photos were kind of the same like the football one and the swimming one. but over all good really pictures
In picking a winner im guessing all the judges have to find what they like in the photo. and share it with the others. They ghave to ahve really good photos with good focus and things like that, like composition.
I think that the judges based the decisions on what they think,but i dont think that most of the other photos that people had were just "fine", i thought they were really good for collge students. i liked most of the photos they said were not that good.but I understood why they said what they said about each photo.
